Create more permanently affordable homes by increasing funding for the Multi-Unit Residential Acquisition (MURA) program.

Build upon the success of Toronto’s Public Builder Model by prioritizing in Parkdale–High Park our community’s greatest housing needs: affordable rentals, accessible units, and family-sized units.

Create new supports for aging homeowners to stay in their current homes, including retrofits that support accessibility and multi-family living.

Expand opportunities for public consultation on land-use decisions to be more equitable, accessible, and reflective of communities.

Scale RentSafeTO to meet the real need of tenants, including concrete enforcement measures against bad faith landlords.

Expand eviction prevention programs, such as Eviction Prevention in the Community (EPIC), and create new programs focusing on tenants at the highest risk of losing their housing.

Reduce barriers for Parkdale–High Park residents to access tenant supports, such as the Rental Replacement Policy, Toronto Rent Bank, and Air Conditioner Assistance Program.

Increase shelter beds by resourcing the Homelessness Services Capital Infrastructure Strategy.

Re-establish 24/7 Respite Centres with walk-in access, double funding for Daytime Drop-ins, and ensure safe indoor space and life-saving resources during extreme weather.

Re-strike the Housing Rights Advisory Committee and ensure our City meets its obligations on housing and homelessness under domestic and international law.
